Core Team Profiles

  • Gina, the Founder and Clinical Director of MAGIS, is an educator and mental health clinician with a combined experience of 30 years in educational and clinical settings. She was the former lead global trainer for the Healing and Education through the Arts Program at Save the Children USA, where she trained teachers in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and the Caribbean.

    As a clinician in private practice, she is a certified trauma specialist and board certified art therapist focused on working with individuals, couples, and families dealing with a range of issues: stress, depression, suicidality, and other personality, mood, behavioral and developmental concerns.

    Gina received her Masters in Education from Fordham University, her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus on Art Therapy from Lesley University, and finished her doctorate in Expressive Arts: Therapy, Coaching, Consulting & Education, Conflict Transformation & Peacebuilding from the European Graduate School.

  • Kathy is a strategic planner and HROD practitioner with over 20 years of experience in managing transitions, shaping teams, and navigating unstructured environments. Guided by systems-based and creative learning approaches to organizational change, she has fostered coaching relationships in the workplace to address productivity, performance, work life balance, and mental health concerns.

    Her experience of compassion fatigue and chronic stress in her corporate career has brought her personal work as a writer, musician, and poet into an essential position of shaping practices of wellbeing through arts-based research and project development as Managing Director of MAGIS Creative Spaces.

    Kathy received her MBA at the Asian Institute of Management, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science and a certificate in Peace and Conflict Resolution Education at Miriam College. Her background in the arts began with training at the UP Conservatory of Music. She is also a fourth generation steward and member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Southern Philippines, and executive committee member of ABJ Foundation.

  • Miah graduated AB Psychology from Ateneo de Manila University and had a year of service with Jesuit Volunteers Philippines Foundation, Inc. Since then she has had 18 years of work experience in the different areas of Human Resources and independent projects specializing in organizational development and teambuilding programs. She is known for her communication and interpersonal skills which have served well in employee relations and employee engagement programs.

    Miah came to be an advocate for mental health self-care, character development, and social development as a result of her experiences at work and through addressing depression and anxiety. She started at MAGIS when she began to pursue work aligned to her advocacy, and has gone through introductory workshops for art therapy and expressive arts psychosocial programs. She has since organized as well as hosted MAGIS’ Head On Talks, a talk series on mental and neurodevelopmental health, run psychosocial and organizational support groups in the social work setting, and continues to innovate in the area of engagement in the workplace.

  • Adi is a designer and creative administrator focused on communications design, project management, and service design in the field of mental health and wellbeing. Aside from handling awareness and communication campaigns for the expressive arts and mental health, her key projects with MAGIS include writing for training and learning management, program design and implementation for teams, and managing The Arts and Health Institute’s programs.

    As part of MAGIS’ research team, Adi’s interests include measuring and documenting wellbeing as it intersects with learning and productivity, personal and community histories, and design/material culture.

    Adi is currently the Assistant Creative Director for Communications at MAGIS. She received her BA (Hons) in Design and Craft from the University of Brighton and her Diploma in Foundations of Art and Design from University of the Arts London.

  • Imee has diverse experience with administrative operations and client care in contexts of education, customer service, medical services, and corporate. Imee likes to play the ukulele and piano.

  • Gia is a registered psychologist and psychometrician, practicing as a clinician and expressive arts program designer and facilitator. Her advocacy for mental health has grown her role at MAGIS from intern to lead program designer and part of the clinical core team. Her projects include facilitating programs for all ages, designing and administering customized wellbeing assessments, clinical administration, and professional development initiatives for fellow MAGIS clinicians.

    Gia has also been practicing yoga for the last 10 years and integrates knowledge of this practice, along with psychological and expressive arts-based methods, in providing psychosocial support.

    Gia completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at De La Salle University – Manila, and a BA in Psychology at the University of the Philippines.

  • TJ is a counselor and spiritual director, and is currently one of MAGIS' deputy lead program designers. Her key projects with MAGIS include developing and implementing trauma-informed programs for educators, lay ministry workers, and other helping professionals; focused on psychospiritual support, expressive arts facilitation, communications design, and learning management.

    As a published artist, her creative practice involves writing poetry and making visual art inspired by the created world. She uses art to nurture empathic and compassionate communities by combining its playfulness and capacities for exploration together with the therapeutic qualities of counseling and spiritual direction.

    TJ completed her MA in Pastoral Counseling at the Asian Theological Seminary, and a BA in Communication Arts at Miriam College.

  • Joey is a board certified Dance/Movement Therapist with the American Dance Therapy Association. After practicing as a ballerina for 15 years, she pursued graduate studies at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York where she finished her Master of Science in dance/movement therapy.

    As a dance/movement therapist, Joey has worked with numerous individuals ranging from children to seniors. Her clinical practice includes children with autism and developmental delays, adults with various mental illnesses such as depression, schizophrenia, dementia, among others. She also facilitates expressive arts-based psychosocial programs for groups and communities. Upon arriving in the Philippines in 2017, Joey has given talks and workshops about integrating dance/movement therapy into Filipino culture.

  • Fab is a licensed psychologist with a diverse range of experience  with individuals, groups, and communities across all ages. She completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology at the University of Santo Tomas in 2009, and has been in practice since then.  Her work with children and adolescents revolves around dealing with trauma, abuse, emotional and behavioral issues, and working closely with schools to offer and co-develop educational programs and professional development to enhance psychosocial support for the community. She has also been a resource speaker and facilitator since 2006, specializing in topics of psychological wellbeing in children, women, and in the workplace; addressing sexual abuse and psychotrauma management; and skills training for psychologists and counselors.

    Fab’s work includes treatment and therapy with the Kanlungan Sa Erma Ministry Foundation, case reviews and analysis for adoption with the RCWSG Committee of DSWD IV-B, and private practice primarily at MAGIS Creative Spaces. She has also worked as a training and workshop facilitator for the Employee Assistance Program at Human Dynamic, as a counselor and training specialist that spearheaded Stairway Foundation Inc – Manila’s Counseling Program, and as a crisis intervention worker at the Women’s Crisis Center.

  • Brian is a dedicated clinical psychology professional completing a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from De La Salle University Manila. With a robust foundation in Management and Information Systems from Ateneo De Manila University, he integrates his diverse skill set to offer holistic mental health services.

    He currently also serves as a volunteer Intern Counselor at In Touch Community Services where he provides counseling sessions and has accumulated over 100 hours as a Crisis Line-certified responder. He has also assisted in training new Crisis Line responders and facilitated psychoeducational webinars and workshops.

    Previously, Brian worked as a consultant for Mandarin Nest in Boracay, contributing to the pre-opening team and helping achieve top ratings across online travel agencies and review sites in 2023. He assisted in conceptualizing and operationalizing Nest's core values, vision, and culture, and designed orientation programs for new recruits. Additionally, he has extensive experience working in manufacturing as a Sales Manager and Business Analyst, where he improved sales revenue, developed new products, and led projects to enhance company efficiency.

    Fluent in English, Filipino, and Chinese (Hokkien), Brian offers a multicultural perspective to his practice. He continues to learn and grow through participation in various seminars and workshops on topics such as trauma healing, organizational development, and leadership.

    Brian's background in clinical psychology and business allows him to understand both individual and organizational dynamics, providing effective mental health support to those in need.

  • Nicole is a registered psychometrician and expressive arts facilitator. She has a background in early intervention and curriculum design for children under 5. She has also worked as a mental health practitioner and mainly focused on psychological assessment. With her love for art and psychology, she aims to fuse them to support mental health and well-being.

    Nicole completed her BS in Psychology at De La Salle University, and completing her Master's in Clinical Psychology at the same university.

  • Cholo is a professional theater artist currently completing his MA in Counseling Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University. Having felt the therapeutic potential of engaging in his own art practice as a theater actor, he seeks to engage with the healing modalities of drama and the expressive arts. Previously, he interned at the Ateneo Bulatao Center for Psychological Services as a volunteer counselor for their Brief Psychological Services unit, providing online psychosocial support for Filipino adults throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. He integrates his art and mental health practices as one of the pioneers of Jungle Gym Play Laboratory, a group of interdisciplinary artists exploring the intersection of art, games, and community action.   • Athena Lucas is an Art Therapist based in Sydney, Australia. She is a registered professional member of the Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association (ANZACATA). Her educational background, part of which was at UP College of Fine Arts, includes arts, design and media prior to completing her master’s degree in Art Therapy. She worked as a designer in the advertising world for many years while facilitating art groups in the community as a volunteer. She now works in a mental health hospital in Sydney as an Art Therapist. She is also a part of MAGIS Creative Spaces providing online therapy to Filipino clients.

  • Wali is a mental health clinician and a Master’s Candidate taking Clinical Psychology at De La Salle University – Manila. His clinical experience includes working as a volunteer counselor handling Pro Bono cases for clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, interpersonal relationship issues, and adjustment concerns. He is also a certified crisis line responder.

     

    As a member of the Rude Mechanicals Theater Company, he used to teach theater to children of various ages. He also volunteers as a teacher and assists in the theater program of Tuloy sa Don Bosco.


    His mental health advocacy is focused on being able to provide accessible mental health services and education, psychosocial support for the youth, and incorporating the creative arts in counseling and therapy.

  • Belle O. Mapa is a multipassionate storyteller, artist, mental health advocate, digital marketing specialist, and expressive arts facilitator.  

    Graduating with a BFA in Creative Writing from Ateneo de Manila University in 2017, she started journaling for self-care workshops following a period of grief and burnout. She has held space for corporate teams, young adults, and women's circles. 

    After seven years balancing creative facilitation with a full-time marketing job, Belle joined the pioneer batch of certified Expressive Arts Facilitators at The Arts and Health Institute. Combining mindfulness with art-making and poetry, Belle believes the blank page is a safe space. 

  • Marisa is a licensed psychologist who has used music, play, and other expressive arts modalities in her therapy practice for 25 years. Her work with clients has addressed a wide range of concerns, including special needs and autism, dementia and aging, surviving sexual abuse, trauma, depression and other mental health challenges, and school-related psychosocial issues. Her work has brought her to different contexts of practice, including private clinic practice, inpatient visits, and community groups. Currently, she is a Senior Lecturer for Music and Wellness in UP College of Music.

    Marisa took her BA Psychology at The Catholic University of America and obtained her MA Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University in 2000. She holds a certificate for postgraduate studies in Expressive Arts Therapy, Education & Consulting in the European Graduate School in Switzerland where she hopes to finish her doctorate studies.

  • Maria Mison is a multidisciplinary artist-teacher with a wide range of experience and integration, in theater (PETA artist-teacher, Philippine Educational Theater Association), independent game design (lyrical pedagogy for tabletop RPGs), and somatics-dance practice (daloy, kontragapi, afro-latin dance). She is currently undertaking an MA in Art Education from University of the Philippines Diliman, and is part of the pioneer graduate batch of expressive arts group facilitators from The Arts and Health Institute under MAGIS Creative Spaces.

    Maria has also had shamanic and dreamwork experience since 2016. She has spoken on decolonizing knowledge systems with regards to Indigenous healing and wisdom bodies at the 2024 Prince Mahidol Awards Conference, and is a guest resource speaker on Decolonial Medicine for the graduate program at Harvard School of Public Health.

    Maria aims to make healing as in-depth, accessible, and available to all kinds of populations, in the hopes of making it as fun, enlivening and an enabled task, as much as it is able! She is happy to meet you. ✿

  • Dan is a mental health clinician and candidate for an MSc in Clinical Psychology at De La Salle University Manila. His clinical practice includes working with clients with depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationship issues, trauma, anger management, and schizophrenia. He also serves as a crisis line responder for local clientele in the Philippines.

    He also has demonstrated experience in web and application development, and has the professional goal of pursuing projects where his interests in mental health and tech intersect.

  • Ina is a registered art therapist with the Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association (ANZACATA) and a registered counsellor with the Australian Counsellors Association (ACA).

    Since completing her Master of Art therapy in Western Sydney University, Ina has begun her practice in Australia by supporting Aboriginal children in art therapy and providing behavioral support plans for their carers, school and communities. Ina is also a provider with MAGIS Creative Spaces and is able to support a range of Filipino and Philippine-based clients through art therapy online.

    Ina is a practicing artist and illustrator and had once upon a time had spread the joy of art-making and art as an art teacher.

  • Therese is a licensed psychologist who specializes in counseling and psychotherapy for  neurotypical adolescents and young adults. She has a diverse range of experience with clients' individual concerns ranging from work- or school-related stress, interpersonal challenges, to symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma. She is currently seeing clients through Magis Creative Spaces and her private practice. She is also a volunteer in the government's Mental Health E-Konsulta program. Therese completed her MA in Psychology, concentration in Counseling Psychology from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2017. In the same year, she also took the Psychologist's Board Exam and placed as the 7th top-notcher. She has been a practicing psychologist since then.

    Therese is a passionate mental health advocate. She puts this to practice whenever she facilitates talks on Mental Health Awareness for different audiences and in how she handles her classes as a part-time faculty member of the Ateneo de Manila University's Department of Psychology. She also participates in research projects to contribute to the knowledge and evidence-based interventions in the field of psychology. She hopes that these efforts will lead to a deeper understanding of mental health, less shame in seeking professional help, and more compassion towards mental health concerns.

  • Mariel is a registered psychologist who obtained her Master of Arts in Psychology from Southville International School and Colleges, where she also currently works as a college guidance counselor and faculty member of the Psychology Department. As a member of the Rotary Club of Sunvalley Sunrise, she has also taken part in projects such as Psychological First Aid training and psychosocial interventions in Tacloban and within the Rotary community.

  • Leonard is a psychometrician, psychologist, and part of the current board of directors at the Psychological Association of the Philippines - CALABARZON-MIMAROPA Chapter (Regional). He is also pursuing a doctorate in Psychology, Major in Human Development in De La Salle University - Manila.

    Leonard has been a resource speaker for mental health and gender and development in schools and community-based/barangay-based programs. He is also with the Cavite State University - Carmona Campus for academic instruction, student services and welfare, and as project leader in gender and development related research. He is also currently spearheading the beginning of the university’s BS Psychology program.

    As a mental health professional, Leonard’s advocacy is in breaking the stigma around the profession, through strengthening the presence and involvement of psychometricians and psychologists in the community.

  • Jason is a registered psychologist with a demonstrated experience as a certified hypnotherapist. Apart from serving clients through MAGIS Creative Spaces, he is also a practicing psychologist at the National Center for Mental Health in Mandaluyong.

    Through his clinical practice, Jason aims to steer away from the stigma against hypnotherapy, and raise awareness for it as an accepted method in dealing with psychological difficulties.

  • Abbey is a licensed psychologist with approaches that are rooted in person-centered, solutions-focused, trauma-informed, and internal family systems therapies. As a certified yoga and mat pilates instructor, her approach also espouses a holistic perspective to healing and growth, utilizing a combination of relevant body-centered, mindfulness-based, and psychotherapeutic techniques.

    Working with individual adults, Abbey has dealt with a variety of issues such as mood disorders, grief and loss, trauma, identity, stress, and life transitions. As a psychotherapist, she describes herself as curious, creative, collaborative, playful, sincere, and steadfast.

    Abbey completed her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University.

  • Jillen is a mental health service provider and expressive arts facilitator for psychosocial programs at MAGIS Creative Spaces, where she integrates psychological and expressive arts-based methods in psychosocial support. As an entrepreneur, she is a co-founder of FAM mnl, a thriving start-up that advocates mental health through its products and social media presence.

    She is a psychology graduate completing a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at De La Salle University - Manila and has experience in Psychological Assessment with Virlanie Foundation Inc. as well as Clinical Psychology at Divine Mercy Psychiatric Facility. Jillen is also a licensed Kids Yoga Instructor and Mindfulness Coach. With her background, she has provided numerous trainings and seminars for psychosocial support and psychological awareness.

  • Abby is a licensed psychologist with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from De La Salle University - Manila. She has also received trainings in Interpersonal Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

    In her practice, she sees and helps individuals with neurodevelopmental concerns such as autism and ADHD as well as clients who are going through anxiety, mood disorders, interpersonal concerns, and life transitions. Abby is also a certified expressive arts facilitator, and integrates the therapeutic use of the arts with the people she works with. 

  • Ross is a lifelong learner and passionate about human kindness.  As the mother of a neurodiverse child, she aims to promote the therapeutic use of the arts to support children and parents with their connection to each other and the self.

    After being in the Marketing and Sales industry for more than 14 years, Ross had a life-changing experience that led her into a journey for her personal healing. Graduated BA Humanities from University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P), Ross wanted to return to her creative self or “Humanness” which led her to join the pioneer batch of certified Expressive Arts Facilitators at The Arts and Health Institute.  Inspired after graduating, Ross finds joy in fusing mindful meditation and expressive arts to help children and adults make healing creative, playful and transformative.  She continues to grow by participating in various sessions centered on parenthood, grief, burnout, and the challenges of Filipino Chinese community.

    In her free time, Ross enjoys researching and reading bite-sized information about the why and how of mental health, painting, watching films, discovering new places to eat, connecting and spending time with her loved ones.

  • Chiclet is a counselor with a professional diploma in Family Ministries from the Ruben M. Tanseco, S.J. Center for Family Ministries (RMT-CEFAM) in Ateneo de Manila University.

    Coming from the mentorship of Fr. Arsenio Lumiqued, SJ, Chiclet’s personal mission as a counselor to help individuals address issues through understanding family dynamics and relationships. She uses a psycho-spiritual approach in her counseling practice, incorporating therapeutic methods of psychotherapy and spirituality, and exploring belief systems and spiritual care practices that can become resources for understanding, acceptance, and healing.

    Chiclet is also married and a mother of 5 children. Along with her husband, she is part of the St James Renewal Movement (SJRM) in Ayala Alabang as an advisor for youth aged 15-35, a minister for families, and a vocalist for their music ministry. She is also a volunteer minister for parents and resource speaker through the CEFAM Alumni Association’s Parenting HUB.

  • Carl is a researcher whose work focuses on Filipino folk psychology and indigenous spirituality. He completed his Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University, and he is currently a Senior Lecturer in the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City. Carl's published work draws from Sikolohiyang Pilipino and Transpersonal Psychology, and he applies indigenous, psychodynamic, and spiritual approaches in his sessions. Carl has also given talks for local and international audiences, on well-being and cultural identity. He shares his work on Instagram, @sikodiwa.

  • Jet is a licensed psychologist who mostly works with adolescents, young adults, and couples, to help them with a wide range of concerns that include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment issues, and interpersonal conflicts. He obtained his Master of Arts in Psychology degree, with a concentration in Counseling Psychology, from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2018. He also underwent training in Solution-Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and the Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

  • Marga is a licensed psychologist and expressive arts facilitator with experience in therapy, Crisis Line support, facilitation, and research. Her experience includes providing teleconsult wellness and mental health services handling cases on depression, anxiety, grief, stress management, emotion regulation, and interpersonal relationships. Alongside this, she has spent some time in training and research, developing and designing mental health and wellness training products.

    Prior to her career shift, propelled by a passion to improve personal mental health, most of her professional experience was in the corporate setting as a learning and organizational development specialist with multinational comfort food and leading beverage brands such as Coca-Cola and Universal Robina Corporation.

  • Alyssa is one of the Founders of FAM Mnl, a mental health advocacy organization that aims to promote psychoeducation and mental health support. She is a licensed psychometrician and is a Master's Candidate taking Clinical Psychology at De La Salle University-Manila. She is also an Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy Clinician.

    Currently, she is the Internship coordinator at In Touch Community Services. As part of her clinical experience, she works as a volunteer counselor handling Pro Bono cases for people with anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and other mental health-related issues in the same organization. She works part-time at MAGIS Creative Spaces as a mental health provider conducting Expressive Arts Therapy and resource speaker at Inquirer Academy.

    Her mental health advocacy primarily focuses on providing training on psychological first aid, and mental health. & psychosocial support for the youth, youth carers, and local communities.

  • Suzy is a registered psychologist and psychometrician with a total of nine (9) years of experience in psychological testing, screening, and assessment. She is also a trained psychological first aid provider, brainspotting practitioner, and a mental health trainer. As a therapist, she is able to integrate cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused approaches with the expressive arts. She typically sees adolescents and young adults for a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress and adjustment, trauma, and career counseling.

  • Rainey is passionate about lifelong learning and delights in the joy of storytelling. She is thrilled when these come together in living out her faith in Christ. She first taught Reading in English and Filipino to children of varying ages immediately after college. She then spent a year with the indigenous Tagbanua communities of Palawan, Philippines as a Jesuit Volunteer and has since dedicated her service to Cartwheel Foundation, Inc., a local non-profit working towards culturally relevant education for Indigenous Peoples. She is part of the team behind the creation of AHA (Awakening the Heart through the Arts) Book Series featuring children's stories from all over the world. She also helps facilitate Expressive Arts support groups with MAGIS Creative Spaces. Among her involvements, her most exciting undertaking yet is being mother to her young sons, Ulap, Sinag, and Alon and being wife to Paolo.

  • Racquel is a registered psychologist, a child-centered play therapist and a trauma-informed care practitioner. She has extensive experience across all ages, dealing with abuse, trauma, emotional and behavioral issues, family court cases, children with special needs, and special protection. Her work also encompasses foster and adoption concerns, being the Psychologist Member of the Regional Child Placement Committee of the National Authority Child Care-National Capital Region. Racquel has been invited as a resource person and facilitator to different Non-Government Organizations, various DSWD Programs, Child Placing Agencies, Child Caring Agencies, television and radio programs and school organizations. She also functions as an Expert Witness to handle legal cases involving women and children.

    She finished her Master’s in Clinical Psychology at University of Santo Tomas and is currently a Candidate for a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology in the same university. Aside from practicing privately, she also served as a Consultant Psychologist at the Philippine Mental Health Association and a Volunteer at Sunflower Children’s Center.

  • Daniel is a registered psychologist and an advocate for incorporating arts and mindfulness in therapy and overall well-being. She handles clients with concerns about emotions, life transitions, and relationships. She draws her approaches from person-centered, solutions-focused, and systems-informed therapies.

    Daniel graduated with a degree in Masters in Counseling Psychology from Ateneo de Manila University. She also works with organizations in designing and facilitating workshops related to mental health. In her free time, she enjoys watching films, painting landscapes, and going for walks in nature. 

  • JV is a Full-time faculty member of the Psychology Department at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Arts in Psychology major in Clinical Psychology degrees in the same university. Before being an educator, he was a Guidance Counselor at Mater Ecclesiae School and The Learning Child School. His love and commitment in helping children with mental health concerns motivated him to become a full-fledged Registered Psychometrician and Psychologist. Among his affiliations are the Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP), and Association of Education Researchers and Trainers (ASSERT) where he is a Board Member.

    An advocate and practitioner of expressive therapies, he uses Visual Arts, Music, Movement, and Play in his clinical practice with children and adolescents with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Anxiety and Depression, and Adjustment Disorders.

  • Princess graduated with a bachelor's degree in Nursing at San Juan De Dios Educational Foundation, Inc. in Pasay, and attained her professional license both in 2007. After working as an emergency nurse, both in the Philippines and Saudi Arabia, Princess pursued her passion for the arts back in the Philippines. Her interests in the arts and healthcare began to emerge as she developed her own practice as a painter and setting up Artventure PH, an art center that exists to provide art classes and creative services to mostly children and those with special needs. Her personal experiences as an artist and a healthcare worker has led her to pursue her Masters in Clinical Psychology at De La Salle University— Dasmariñas, while training to be an expressive arts facilitator and therapist at MAGIS Creative Spaces.

  • Bambi is an expressive arts practitioner, resource speaker, workshop facilitator and retreat director, completing her Masters degree in Theology at the Divine Word School of Theology in Tagaytay City.   She has facilitated values camps for elementary students and has conducted retreats and team-building workshops for both children and adults for various organizations. Bambi has been trained directly by expressive arts pioneers Paolo and Margo Knill, and in expressive arts trauma integration as part of MAGIS’ professional training of trainers. Bambi has been closely mentored as a trainer by board certified clinicians and has co-facilitated numerous workshops on self-care and psychosocial integration through arts-based approaches serving organizations such as the East Asian Pastoral Institute, the Asian Hospital Brain Wellness Center, the Philippine Heart Center, Cartwheel Foundation and the University of Southern Philippines.

  • Monica Lopez Gamboa is a licensed Creative Arts Therapist and registered Drama Therapist, and currently at Montefiore Medical Center within the Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Department. She graduated from the Drama Therapy program at NYU, was the former research assistant of the Theatre and Health Lab and coordinator for the World Alliance of Drama Therapy. She works with various populations including underserved Filipino children and adolescents in urban poor communities. Her current work includes developing protocols centered on Filipino psychology, the Philippine diaspora, archetypal astrology, self-care and social justice.

  • Patrick is a professional counsellor and psychotherapist who has worked with children and adults with behavioral, social, and psychological issues. After completing his Masters in Counselling as a scholar at Monash University, Australia, he returned to the Philippines and currently holds clinic at EMMAUS Center for Psycho-Spiritual Formation, and MAGIS Creative Spaces.

    Patrick is certified in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mental Health First Aid, and Applied Suicide Intervention. Patrick’s advocacy for mental health has caused him to start Psych of Pat, which activates advocacy through psychoeducation.

  • Geri is a certified aromatherapist, having completed her certification from the New York Institute of Aromatherapy in 2020. She also received training in Thai Hand Reflexology and Facial Gua Sha.

    As an associate member of the Alliance for International Aromatherapists, Geri specializes in leading engaging workshops on essential oil basics, safety, and applications. She develops educational materials, interactive kits, and a user-friendly app to enhance understanding of aromatherapy principles. As a holistic health advocate, she collaborates with wellness centers to promote overall well-being through aromatherapy and other holistic practices.

    In addition to her expertise in aromatherapy, Geri completed her studies at the UP College of Music, majoring in Composition and Theory. With a rich background as a composer, producer, copywriter, and creative director, she has serviced the music, TV, film, theater, and advertising industries for 30 years under her full-service production company. Geri's teaching experience includes Middle School General Music and Upper School Music History at Brent International School. She also co-authored and taught an original early childhood music and movement program, Make Mine Music (also known as Little Red Piano), and was the musical director for shows such as Sineskuwela and Jollitown. This diverse skill set enables Geri to bring a unique and creative approach to her work, both in music and holistic health.

  • A certified Yoga Therapist, Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga teacher, Ivy conducts classes that integrate her insights from counseling experience to provide a safe space for anyone who would like to elevate their own well-being, and brings an embodied presence in her class that she hopes will help students befriend their bodies. Living by the philosophy of “compassion in action”, Ivy’s mission is to help underserved populations. This has inspired her to weave her knowledge in evidence-based and trauma-informed yoga therapy, stress management, mental health, addiction recovery, mindfulness and behavior change in the way she teaches. 

    She has completed modules on Chronic Illness, Cancer Care and Palliative Care with Wisdom Institute under the guidance of Chandrika Gibson (ND MWell C-IAYT).  She is currently completing a trauma-informed yoga module with Mei Lai Swan of Yoga for Humankind while also studying a diploma course on Substance Use Intervention under the guidance of Verna Felipe in SPACE Benilde.
